The Goal
Go out after the rain and find out what a puddle is really made of.
How to start

No supplies needed. You can start from wherever you are.

Head outside and see how many you can find: the biggest puddle, the smallest puddle, a puddle with the sky in it, a puddle deep enough to make a splash.

Talk about what you are seeing. Start with "Which puddle made the loudest splash?"
- 4
Print the worksheet to check things off as you find them, and keep it afterwards.
Draw Your Puddle
Draw the best puddle you found, and what you could see in it.
Puddles disappear because the water slowly turns into vapour and floats up into the air.
If you want to push it further
- Drop one leaf in and watch where it goes
- Come back later and see if the puddle got smaller
